Dr Lea-Anne Harrison
Senior Clinical Research Associate
Lea-Anne holds a first class BSc (Hons) in Animal Science and a PhD in Cancer Studies and Molecular Medicine with a focus on animal models and stem cell biology. She has over 15 years of Clinical Trial/Research Management experience from both the UK and Australia, predominately within the oncology sector.
Prior to starting at MASC Trials, Lea-Anne managed the Haematology and Oncology Trials Team within the Andrew Love Cancer Centre for nine years. During this time Lea-Anne grew an impressive trial portfolio and built a solid network and reputation in the field of cancer research.
Lea-Anne has experience in managing multi-centre research projects with extensive previous involvement in early and late phase interventional, observational and registry studies. Her main areas of expertise are in project coordination, staff and business management, ethical and governance oversight, resource and budgeting management and contract negotiation.
Lea-Anne is comfortable embedding new processes, technology and treatment regimens. She feels it is important to maintain a high level of oversight across all emerging trends in order to remain informed and well placed to utilise this knowledge to drive progress, whilst always aiming to improve efficiency and process.
Lea-Anne works hard to promote a positive and collaborative workplace and enjoys the dynamic and varied environment working in clinical trials offers. She feels that her key attributes have allowed her to excel in this area whilst at the same time providing an opportunity for continual personal development and growth.
